AMA organizes exhibitions with emerging and established artists, providing a space for cultural expression, creativity, and dialogue while highlighting issues central to the OAS (democracy, equitable development, human rights, justice, and innovation) through the arts. This mission is strengthened through cutting-edge programming emphasizing high caliber art that simultaneously furthers dialogue on current relevant social and political matters.

Objectives

  • To promote cultural exchange to advance the OAS four pillars of democracy, human rights, multidimensional security, and integral development.
  • To embrace creative expression, dialog, and learning, where the arts of the Americas can address social and political issues, furthering an ongoing narrative with AMA’s permanent collection. AMA strives for excellence, mutual respect, integrity, passion, empathy, determination, and diversity.
Activities

The AMA hosts anywhere from 10-20 exhibitions during each calendar year in the museum, the OAS F Street Gallery, and the OAS Main Building.
