OAS-SEDI: Forging New Partnerships for Development

New
private sector firms join the Secretariat of the Inter-American
Committee on Ports (CIP) as Associate Members. During the
first quarter of 2014, seven new private sector partners will begin
to support the work of the CIP Secretariat. New members include
Cruise Lines International Association Inc. (CLIA), the Global
Institute for Logistics - Ireland (GIL), International Association
of Dredging Companies (IADC), el Instituto de Logística del Uruguay,
the International Road and Transport Union (IRU), the North American
Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) and the Western
Dredging Association (WEDA). Associate Members actively collaborate
with Member State governments in diverse port development and
modernization issues.
