of the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML)
, the following events took take place
consecutively:
• RIAL Workshop “Towards fairer labor conditions: promoting labor inclusion with equity” : April 16
• Second Meeting of the Working Groups: April 17 and 18
• First Preparatory Meeting of the XVIII IACML : April 19
Objectives:
1) To explore in greater depth the themes identified in the San Salvador Plan of Action, adopted in the XVII IACML in 2011, to facilitate the exchange of experiences, to provide relevant information and studies, and to follow up on related hemispheric initiatives.
• Working Group 1: “Sustainable development with Decent Work
for a new era of Social Justice”
• Working Group 2: “Strengthening the Ministries of Labor to Promote Decent Work and Social Inclusion”
2) Begin the preparatory process towards the XVIII IACML with the
discussion of the Theme and Work Schedule of the Conference that will take place
in Medellín, Colombia, on November 11 and 12, 2013.
