XLVIII General Assembly of the OAS

Representatives of workers and employers of the region participated in the Civil Society Dialogue and other Actors with the Member States, the Secretary General and the Assistant Secretary General of the OAS, within the framework of the 48th General Assembly of the OAS, held from June 3 to 5, 2018 in Washington D.C.

Jose Luis Lopez and John Craig represented the Trade Union Technical Advisory Council (COSATE) and the Business Technical Advisory Committee on Labor Matters (CEATAL) respectively, consultative bodies of the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (CIMT) of the OAS, which brings together the main trade union centers and business associations in the region. In their interventions and declarations, which are gathered below, they shared approaches on development and democracy in the Americas, as well as the important role of the OAS.
