First Call for Proposals
The First Call for Proposals of the RIAL Cooperation Fund was opened from January 25, 2007 to March 15, 2007.
Consult here the General guidelines and First Call for Proposals.

In this First Call for Proposals, 28 applications for funding were received, of which 9 were complete, and 8 were selected. The details on the 8 activities selected are described below:

On-site visit from the Dominican Republic to Argentina
Theme: Labor conciliation
Place: Buenos Aires, Argentina - May 29 to 31, 2007


On-site visit from Costa Rica to Argentina
Theme: Alternative resolution of labor conflicts
Place: Buenos Aires, Argentina - June 4 to 6, 2007


On-site visit from Paraguay to Brazil
Theme: Re-organization of the ML of Paraguay
Place: Brasilia and Sao Paulo, Brazil - July 23 to 27, 2007


On-site visit from Argentina to Brazil
Theme: Labor Inspection in maritime and fluvial activities
Place: Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - August 6 to 10, 2007


Visit by Experts from Argentina to Peru
Theme: National Plan for Work Regularization (addressing the informal sector)
Place: Lima, Peru - August 6 to 10, 2007


On-site visit from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States

Place : Washington, DC - September 17 to 21, 2007


Visit by Experts from Argentina to the Dominican Republic (Second Phase)

This first call for proposals had two sources of funding:

1) The OAS, using resources provided by HRSDC for the RIAL.
2) The ILO, using resources from the USDOL-funded ILO project to support the IACML.
