Migrant Women


The project aims to identify the programs, mechanisms and initiatives that support Migrant Women, especially Migrant Women victims of violence in the border region of USA and Mexico.  The information obtained will facilitate the comparison between them and allow for the design of a Model of Assistance that will contribute to the analysis and the identification of opportunities for building support.

Implementation

First Phase
Map the models and programs that government and NGO's carry out for migrant women victims of violence in the Tijuana / San Diego area.

Second Phase
Analysis of the models and programs identified, emphasizing strengths and challenges.

Third Stage
Development of a Model of Assistance to support migrant women victims of violence in the border region of Mexico and the United States based on best practices.

The project is being executed in coordination with the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM)
