Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Trinidad and Tobago Expects Member State’s “full participation at the highest level” in MISPA III

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago today made a presentation to the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) on the Third Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas (MISPA III), to be held November 16-17 in Port of Spain.
“We look forward to your full participation at the highest level in MISPA III,” said Neil Parsan, Permanent Representative of the Caribbean country to the OAS. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago, he said, “volunteered to host this important meeting as we acknowledged the importance of this forum to the hemisphere, and in particular the Caribbean sub-region.”
Ambassador Parsan added that his country proposed Police Management as the main topic for debate because “we view it as one of the critical areas within the sphere of public security that influences the daily lives of our citizens.” “The Ministers face an arduous, ever increasing challenge. However, we are certain that this task can be successfully realized if we work collectively towards a shared goal.”
At the meeting in Port of Spain, Ministers are expected to agree upon a document of recommendations on police management and on institutionalizing the MISPA process.
The meeting of the Permanent Council also agreed to convoke a meeting of the Working Group on Cyber-Crime, as determined by the last Meeting of Justice Ministers of the Americas (REMJA), on February 6-7, at OAS Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Furthermore, the Permanent Council decided on a schedule of meetings to conclude debate on the Inter-American Democratic Charter. According to mandates from the OAS General Assembly, the Permanent Council must report on the debates before the end of the year.
The Permanent Council also heard the presentation of the new Permanent Representative of Honduras to the Organization, Leónidas Rosa Bautista, who said he is “in the best of dispositions to provide the Organization with my best efforts." “We feel obliged to give our best, shoulder to shoulder, with the distinguished Permanent Missions and the workers of this Organization, knowing all that we belong to that special group the Pan-American hymn defines as ‘sovereign brothers of liberty’,” he concluded.
