OAS SECRETARY GENERAL ATTENDS OPENING OF THE CONFERENCE OF SUPREME COURTS OF THE AMERICAS IN BUENOS AIRES

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, took part Thursday in the opening ceremony of the Conference of Supreme Courts of the Americas, to be held until Friday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Secretary General Insulza delivered the lecture “Justice in the Americas”. Previously, the President of the Supreme Court of Argentina, Ricardo Luis Lorenzetti, declared the Conference officially open.

The Conference of Supreme Courts of the Americas, which brings together several magistrates from throughout the Hemisphere, is held on this occasion under the title “The Rule of Law”. The first meeting of its kind was held in 1995 in Washington, D.C.
