Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS to Deploy 92 Observers in its Mission to the Elections in Bolivia

The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the presidential elections in Bolivia, led by the former Foreign Minister of Costa Rica, Manuel González, began its deployment for the October 20 vote.
González was Foreign Minister in the government of Luis Guillermo Solís (2014-2018) and has had a long career as a politician, diplomat and academic. He has been, among other positions, Ambassador to the United Nations (2002-2004) and Minister of Foreign Trade (2004-2006).
The Mission is composed of 92 observers, who will be deployed in the 9 departments of the country to observe the process in all of its stages and throughout the country. In addition, it includes specialists who will carry out a substantive analysis of several key issues: electoral organization, electoral technology, political financing, electoral justice, women´s political participation, the political participation of indigenous peoples and voting abroad in Argentina, Brazil and the United States.
The Mission will meet with electoral authorities, government representatives, candidates, political parties, academics and members of civil society to hear their perspectives on the process. Following the vote, the Mission will deliver a preliminary report with its assessments and recommendations.
