OAS/Honduras: Germany Contributes 100,000 Euros to MACCIH

The German government will support the Mission to Support the Fight against Corruption and Impunity in Honduras (MACCIH) of the Organization of American States (OAS) with a contribution of 100,000 euros, according to the agreement signed today in Tegucigalpa.

The contribution will be delivered through the Foreign Ministry and will be used for the MACCIH activities in Honduras.

The agreement was signed by Juan Jiménez, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the OAS and Spokesman of the Mission, and the Ambassador of Germany in Honduras, Beatrix Kania.

The MACCIH aims to improve the quality of the services provided by the justice system of Honduras in the prevention and combating of corruption and impunity in the country, through active collaboration, consulting, supervision and certification of the state institutions in charge of the prevention, investigation and punishment of acts of corruption.
