Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS General Secretariat Expresses Gratitude for U.S. Contribution of 4.5 Million Dollars to the Fund for Strengthening Democracy

The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) received with gratitude the contribution of 4.5 million dollars from the United States government, through its Permanent Mission to the Organization (USOAS), to the OAS Fund for the Strengthening of Democracy in the Western Hemisphere (DEMOC). For the General Secretariat, the contribution reaffirms the long-term support of the United States for the promotion of democracy and the protection of human rights in the Hemisphere.
The OAS Fund for Strengthening Democracy supports strategic programs, initiatives and special missions with the objective of strengthening democratic institutions in the Americas and consolidating democratic governance at the national and subnational levels, including parliaments and judiciary.
