Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.
Approximately six weeks after the end of each semester, the OAS publishes a Semiannual Management and Performance Report, which since 2013 includes reporting on programmatic results. The full texts may be found here.

The OAS has discussed for several years the real estate issue, the funding required for maintenance and repairs, as well as the deferred maintenance of its historic buildings. Message from the OAS Secretary General on International Women´s Day

This March 8, on International Women´s Day, women from many countries of the Americas and around the world have decided to come together for an International Women´s Strike. As we did last year, we express our support for all the women staff members of the Organization of American States (OAS) who decide to join this strike. Many movements have successfully used this tool of struggle throughout history to advance in the recognition of their rights, and it is our desire that this international strike contribute to giving greater visibility to the deep obstacles that women continue to face in the quest to achieve equal rights.
One of the fundamental areas of the work of the OAS aims to achieve gender equality in our region. In the last decades there have been very significant advances in the legal recognition of the rights of women, but the distance between the laws and the reality must be cut. We openly support the struggle of women to claim their rights.
