Joint Session of the Permanent Council and CEPCIDI

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Permanent Executive Committee of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CEPCIDI) will conduct a joint session to discuss “the promotion of agriculture and rural development in the Hemisphere,” on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 15:00 EST (20:00 GMT) in the Simón Bolívar Hall of Organization headquarters in Washington, DC.

Presentations by the following are on the agenda: IICA’s representative in the United States, David C. Hatch; the Permanent Representative of Jamaica to the OAS, Ambassador Audrey Marks; the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM), Carmen Moreno; the Vice President of the Professional Association of Rural Entrepreneurs (AGER) of Guatemala, Petronila Morales Calgua; and the General Director of the Organization for the Rehabilitation of the Environment in Haiti, Monique Pierre Finnigan.
