Lecture of the Americas to Analyze “The OAS, Democracy and Human Rights”

With a presentation by the Former President of the Dominican Republic and President of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Leonel Fernandez, the 57th Lecture of the Americas of the Organization of American States (OAS) will debate, on Thursday, November 13, 2014, “The OAS, Democracy and Human Rights,” at the headquarters of the Organization in Washington DC.

The closing remarks for the event will be delivered by the Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the OAS, Pedro Vergés; and the Secretary for External Relations of the OAS, Alfonso Quiñónez will give the welcoming remarks at the event, which will include a question and answer session.

The event will be broadcast live on the OAS Website.
