OAS to Share Lessons on Sustainable Development

Senior Specialists at the Organization of American States (OAS) will share lessons from the hemispheric organization's work on sustainable development this Tuesday, June 22, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

During a 90-minute plenary session, senior specialists will discuss the work of the OAS on energy, water, land and biodiversity management, hazard risk management and climate change, and environmental law and governance. The work of the OAS on sustainable development will take center stage this week during the Fifth Caribbean Environment Forum in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Other highlights of the session will include the signing of a Cooperative Agreement between the OAS General Secretariat and the Caribbean Environmental Health Institute, and the launch of a publication on Sustainable Development in the Caribbean.
