Opinion Leaders to Explore at the OAS the Power of Women's Voices and their Global Impact

The Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) of the Organization of American States (OAS), together with the Inter-American Task Force on Women’s Leadership, Foreign Policy and the International Monetary Fund, will host next Tuesday, October 15 in Washington DC the Summit Her Power: Women’s Voices, Global Impact.

The event will explore gender equity as a catalyzing force for stronger democracies, economies and communities. The discussion will focus on how to promote gender parity in business and government and will serve as a inspiring celebration of women as agents of positive change.

Featured speakers will include:

  • Nadia Murad, Yazidi human rights activist, Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2018 and UNODC Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking
  • Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund (IMF)
  • Alejandra Mora Mora, Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM)
  • Kathryn Kaufman, Managing Director, Global Women’s Issues, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)
