XIII Private Sector Forum to be Held in the Framework of the OAS General Assembly

In the framework of the 51st OAS General Assembly, the XIII Private Sector Forum of the Americas will be held TOMORROW, under the theme "Towards Renewal in the Americas: the role of the private sector in economic and social recovery". Consult the agenda here.

The event will be inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Pedro Brolo; the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro; the President of CACIF Guatemala, Hermann Girón Délery; the Mayor of Guatemala City, Ricardo Quiñónez; and the President of the Private Sector of the Americas, Eduardo Eurnekian. The President of Colombia, Iván Duque Márquez, will deliver a special message, while the President of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei, will speak at the closing ceremony.

Panel discussions will address topics such as "The importance of democracy and the independence of powers for the private sector," "Business resilience during the pandemic and its relationship with the SDG 2032," and "Major economic challenges: Logistical and technological opportunities for the region." These panels will include the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Mauricio Claver-Carone, and the Vice President for the Americas of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Neil Herrington, among others.
