OAS to present Report on Cybersecurity and Banking Entities in Latin America and the Caribbean, during Cybersecurity Symposium

How to improve the confidence of users of digital banking in the Region? What are the main challenges for banking entities regarding their cybersecurity?
The Organization of American States (OAS) will present on Tuesday the 25th the Report "State of Cybersecurity in the Banking Sector in Latin America and the Caribbean", which contains a comprehensive analysis of the state of cyber security in the region's banking sector.
The Presentation will take place during the OAS Cybersecurity Symposium to be held September 24th to 28th in Washington, DC and will be conducted by Belisario Contreras, OAS Cybersecurity Program Manager; Barbara Marchirori de Assis, OAS Cybersecurity Program Officer; Jorge Bejarano and Orlando Garcés, both OAS consultants for the development of the study.
The OAS Cybersecurity Symposium will include officials and global experts on the issue. CyberWomen Challenge, a joint initiative of the OAS and Trend Micro, will take place on Monday. The purpose of this initiative is to increase the role and participation of women on the cybersecurity sector, through an exercise based on a simulation of responses to cyber attacks. From Tuesday to Friday, global sector experts will debate and share knowledge and good practices. Two days will focus on conferences and presentations, and the other two will consist of workshops on specific topics: privacy and human rights, forensic analysis, cyber risk management, development and strategic implementation, Response Centers to Cyber Attacks management.
