Enrollment Period for OAS Virtual Campus Scholarships Opens

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Virtual Campus of the Department for Effective Public Management (DGPE) has opened the application process for scholarships to its online courses for the second half of 2014.

The scholarships will be given to public officials and academics from OAS member and observer countries. The course offerings can be seen here.

In total, the OAS offers 21 online courses in areas like e-government, cadastre and public management. Courses are oriented to this practical approach to learning through the presentation of representative cases in the region.

The Virtual Campus is the area through which the OAS advances online training for public officials in the Americas. The courses developed in coordination with OAS subject areas such as e-government and cadastre seek to provide practical tools to thousands of civil servants in the region in the development and implementation of projects and policies for strengthening human and institutional capabilities that support effective public management, development and improved democratic governance.

Interested persons can apply until July 3. The course will begin on July 22 and end on September 12, 2014
