OAS Assistant Secretary General to Participate in Launch of PAHO High-Level Commission on Mental Health and COVID-19 Report

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) and Co-president of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) High-Level Commission on Mental Health and COVID-19, Nestor Mendez, will participate, TOMORROW, Friday, June 9 at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT), in the launch of the report: “A New Agenda for Mental Health in the Americas,” which analyzes the situation, its impact on life, the economy and society in general, and offers ten recommendations on how to improve the region's mental health, which was severely affected by the pandemic.
Together with Ambassador Méndez, the Director of PAHO, Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, and the President of the Commission and former Vice-president of Costa Rica, Epsy Campbell Barr will participate in the event.
