OAS SECRETARY GENERAL PRESENTS REPORT ON SITUATION OF
HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS IN THE AMERICAS

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, tomorrow will present the Report on the Situation of Human Rights Defenders in the Americas, recently published by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

In its report, the Commission states that “the work of human rights defenders is essential for the universal implementation of those rights, and for the strengthening of the democratic system.”
