UPDATE: OAS Permanent Council to Hold two Meetings on Nicaragua TOMORROW

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold two special meetings TOMORROW, Friday, April 26, in the Simon Bolívar Hall of the OAS headquarters in Washington, DC.

The first meeting will take place at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) and will consider the "situation/status of Democracy in Nicaragua". The meeting was convened at the request of the permanent missions of Argentina and the United States.

The second meeting will be at 12:00 EDT (16:00 GMT) to consider "The situation in Nicaragua" and was requested by the permanent missions of Canada and Chile, as well as the Working Group for Nicaragua.

The meetings will be broadcast live - with interpretation in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese- on the OAS Website and the OAS Facebook page
