OAS PERMANENT COUNCIL TO RECEIVE REPORT ON PRESIDENTIAL
RECALL REFERENDUM IN VENEZUELA

The special session of the Organization of American States’ (OAS) Permanent Council originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m., has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. During this special session, Ambassador Valter Pecly Moreira, Permanent Representative of the Federative Republic of Brazil and Chief-Coordinator of the OAS Mission, will present his oral report on the presidential recall referendum held in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on August 15, 2004.

The session was requested by the Permanent Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
