Colombian Politician Sergio Fajardo to Discuss Open Government in Lecture Series of the Americas at the OAS

The Colombian politician Sergio Fajardo will speak this Wednesday, May 24 at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC on the open government policies based on access to information, transparency and citizen participation, as keys to the strengthening of democracy, in an exposition in which he will share his experiences as Governor of Antioquia and Mayor of Medellin.

“Open Government: a New Paradigm of Public Management,” will be the central theme of the 61st edition of the Lecture Series of the Americas, which will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT). The Secretary for Legal Affairs of the OAS, Jean Michel Arrighi, will open the lecture, which will include a question and answer session at the conclusion of the main presentation.
