OAS Secretary General to travel to Canada, Mexico, Chile and Dominica

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, will travel to Canada, Mexico, Chile and Dominica next week to participate in diverse official events.

The Secretary General will be in Ottawa on Monday, March 8, to attend an event with high level authorities of the Canadian government commemorating the 20th anniversary of Canada’s entry to the hemispheric organization.

On March 9, he will be at the Fifth Regular Meeting of the Assembly of the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL), which will be held March 8-11 in Mexico City.

Secretary General Insulza will then attend, on Thursday, March 11, the inauguration of Sebastián Piñera as new President of Chile.

On Friday, March 12, the Secretary General will be in Roseau, Dominica, to attend the Intersessional Meeting of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), to be held March 11-12.
