Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Hosts Panel: “Cuba, Violation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms: Fear and Intimidation”

The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States and the Permanent Mission of the United States to the hemispheric Organization will hold the event: "Cuba, Violation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms: Fear and Intimidation,” on Tuesday, April 18 at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in the Hall of the Americas at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The main objective of this event is to discuss violations of freedom of expression and assembly in Cuba, to and serve as a platform for panelists to share their experiences and specific cases of human rights violations. The panelists will be the President of Prisoners Defenders International, Javier Larrondo, the artists Anyelo Troya y Anamely Ramos, and the journalist Mónica Baró.
The event will include welcome remarks by the OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro, and the Permanent Representative of the United States to the OAS, Frank Mora, and will have as main speaker the Rapporteur on the Rights of Persons Deprived of Liberty and to Prevent and Combat Torture of the Inter American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) Edgar Stuardo Ralón Orellana. The panel will be moderated by the Rapporteur for the Freedom of Expression of the IACHR, Pedro José Vaca.
