Permanent Council to Discuss Place and Date of the General Assembly and to Commemorate International Women’s Day

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States will hold two meetings on Thursday, March 12, in Simon Bolívar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C.

At 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) the Council will hold a special meeting to Commemorate International Women’s Day. The session will feature a presentation by the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission of Women, Alejandra Mora Mora.

Then, at 12:00 EDT (16:00 GMT), the Council will hold a regular meeting to consider, among other topics, the draft resolution “Place and date of the Fiftieth regular session of the General Assembly.”
