Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.
Approximately six weeks after the end of each semester, the OAS publishes a Semiannual Management and Performance Report, which since 2013 includes reporting on programmatic results. The full texts may be found here.

The OAS has discussed for several years the real estate issue, the funding required for maintenance and repairs, as well as the deferred maintenance of its historic buildings. The General Assembly of the Organization of American States convenes in special session at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, April 11 to elect a new Secretary General for the hemispheric organization.
Nominated by their respective governments for the top OAS post are: José Miguel Insulza, Chile’s Interior Minister; Francisco Flores, former President of El Salvador; and Luis Ernesto Derbez, Mexico’s Foreign Secretary.

Information on media accreditation for the Special General Assembly session can be found on the OAS website, at www.oas.org/secretarygeneral2005. Media accreditations will be delivered to journalists in the lobby of OAS Main Building the same day. Those with still cameras and video cameras and other equipment will enter from the C Street side of the Main Building. Other media personnel will use the main entrance, (17th Street & Constitution Avenue).
A Media Center will be set up on the first floor of the Main Building, and will be open from 8:00 a.m. on April 11. The Media Center will be outfitted with closed circuit broadcast monitors as well as audio and video outlets. Pool footage will also be provided for television stations. No TV cameras will be allowed into the Main Hall.
TV footage of the special General Assembly session will be broadcast live by fiber optic and will be available on Verizon AVOC in Washington, DC (Circuit 36TVGZ1095). There will also be high- and low-resolution live webcast by Internet (www.oas.org/OASpage/Live ).
