Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.
Approximately six weeks after the end of each semester, the OAS publishes a Semiannual Management and Performance Report, which since 2013 includes reporting on programmatic results. The full texts may be found here.

The OAS has discussed for several years the real estate issue, the funding required for maintenance and repairs, as well as the deferred maintenance of its historic buildings. Private Sector of the Region Convenes at the OAS to Offer Recommendations Ahead of the Sixth Summit of the Americas

The Organization of American States (OAS) will host on Tuesday, March 13 the OAS Private Sector Forum Dialogue, "Connecting Companies, Connecting People in the Americas". The meeting aims for business representatives and experts on the topics of discussion to provide recommendations to the Heads of State and Government of the Hemisphere that will be attending the Sixth Summit of the Americas ,to be held April 14-15 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
OAS Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza, and Catalina Crane, High Presidential Counselor for Public and Private Sector of Colombia, will provide opening remarks. The event will be divided into four discussion panels on the following topics:
- Business Environment, Investment and Trade
- Public Safety
- Human Capital
- Innovation, Technology and Connectivity.
Additionally, from 15:00 to 16:00 EDT (19:00 to 20:00 GMT) the 46 OAS Lecture Series of the Americas will be held with the title "The Panama Canal: Enhancing Development".
During the Dialogue the representatives from the Private Sector will provide their views and at the end of the day they will present their conclusions and practical recommendations. The resulting document will be sent to the Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG), a body where all OAS Member States are represented. The SIRG negotiates the mandates to be adopted in the Summit of the Americas.
The OAS Private Sector Dialogue is part of the consultation process developed by host country, with the support of the OAS General Secretariat, in preparation of the Summit of the Americas
