IDB and OAS to Present Report on Cybersecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Organization of American States (OAS) will launch, on Monday, March 14, the Cybersecurity Report 2016: Are We Ready in Latin America and the Caribbean?, at the headquarters of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC.

The report, produced by the IDB and the OAS with the support of the University of Oxford, analyzes the state of preparation of 32 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, based on 49 indicators. It is the first in-depth examination of the level of preparation of Latin America and the Caribbean faced with the growing threat of cybercrime.

The event will feature the participation of the President of the IDB, Luis Alberto Moreno; the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro; and the President of CSIS, John Hamre, among other authorities.
