Permanent Council to Receive Candidates for OAS Secretary General

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a special meeting on Monday, February 10 at 10:00 EST (15:00 GMT) in the Hall of the Americas at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to receive the candidates for Secretary General: Albert Ramdin of Suriname and Rubén Ramírez Lezcano of Paraguay (according to the order established at the meeting on February 5); who will present to the Council their proposals and initiatives to lead the hemispheric Organization during the 2025-2030 period.
