JAMAICAN PRIME MINISTER PJ. PATTERSON TO ADDRESS OAS
PERMANENT COUNCIL THURSDAY

  March 8, 2006

The Prime Minister of Jamaica, P. J. Patterson, will address a protocolary session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) on Thursday, March 9, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

This will mark the first visit by Patterson to the Permanent Council in his capacity as Prime Minister. He will be officially received by the Vice Chair of the Permanent Council, Ambassador Marina Valere of Trinidad and Tobago, and Secretary General José Miguel Insulza at the session that is being specially convened in his honor.
