Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS and Casla Institute to Create and Early Warning System on Crimes against Humanity

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Casla Institute today signed an agreement that seeks to unite the efforts of the two institutions in the prevention of crimes against humanity in the region through the creation of an early warning system.
The Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, said the agreement seeks the establishment of general coordination mechanisms regarding possible massive violations of human rights and crimes against humanity in the region. “It is imperative that international justice prevents, controls or acts when mass violations of human rights are being committed. This is a commitment that is fully assumed by the OAS General Secretariat,” said Secretary General Almagro.
For her part, the Executive Director of Casla, Tamara Suju, said the initiative seeks to prevent crimes against humanity and avoid having to go to international bodies such as the International Criminal Court. “The idea is to prevent these crimes from being committed, and that massive violations of human rights do not become the policy of a State," explained the head of Casla.
The Casla Institute is a center for research and analysis in matters related to the defense of democracy, the rule of law and human rights in Latin America.
