Secretary General Meets with the International President of the Business Council of Latin America

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Jose Miguel Insulza, today met with the International President of the Business Council of Latin America (CEAL), Gilberto Marin, at the hemispheric organization's headquarters in Washington, DC.

At the meeting, both officials highlighted the work of the OAS in coordinating the dialogue between employers and Heads of State and Government of the Member States to be held within the framework of the Sixth Summit of the Americas, which will take place in Cartagena de Indias April 14-15. Also, they advanced details on the cooperation agreement which both institutions will sign at the same forum in Colombia.

The OAS Assistant Secretary General, Ambassador Albert Ramdin, and the Chief of Staff of Secretary General Insulza, Ambassador Hugo de Zela, were also present at the meeting.
