OAS and Network of Official Bulletins of the Americas to Jointly Promote Knowledge of Hemispheric Legislation

The Organization of American States (OAS) the Network of Official Bulletins of the Americas (REDBOA) today signed an agreement designed to promote knowledge of hemispheric legislation.

The agreement seeks to spread understanding of laws in OAS member states, as well as instruments of international law and the Inter-American system that promote the values of the OAS, through the dissemination of the REDBOA bulletin.

After signing the agreement, the Assistant Secretary General of the OAS, Nestor Mendez, emphasized that “today, more than ever, internal political situations are undeniably connected with global politics, which makes it appropriate that platforms for the exchange of best practices are generated with the support of organizations and institutions that maintain a commitment to the objectivity, transparency, and veracity of the information they disseminate.”

For his part, the President of REDBOA, Carlos Orellana Céspedes, highlighted that “the official journals of the Americas have a very practical mission, to spead knowledge about legislation in force to all its citizens so that they are understand their obligations and they feel informed about them.”
