Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Secretary General Meets with European Union Ambassadors

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met this morning with the ambassadors of the European Union to Mexico, in the context of his participation in the “Our Democracy” Forum organized by the OAS, UNDP, and the IFE, taking place in the Mexican capital.
Insulza reviewed the main political events in the region, making specific reference to the situation in Honduras and Ecuador. The stagnation in the process of integration of Europe and Latin America also was one of the subjects of the meeting, as well as the setback caused by organized crime in the strengthening of democracy in the region.
Insulza made special reference to the importance of European cooperation in the funding of top OAS projects in the areas of democracy and development being implemented throughout the continent.
