The Permanent Representative of Dominica to the Organization of American States (OAS), Vince Henderson, today assumed the Chair of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI), which also confirmed Kim Osborne as the Executive Secretary for Integral Development of The OAS.

During the transfer ceremony that took place at the OAS headquarters in Washington DC, Ambassador Henderson recognized the outgoing Chair of the Council and Permanent Representative of Costa Rica, Rogelio Sotela Muñoz, for his "exemplary leadership and commitment to the development of all the Americas." In offering him a plaque for the work done during the last six months, Ambassador Henderson said that it was a sign of recognition for the work accomplished by Ambassador Sotela Muñoz and the government of Costa Rica.

Ambassador Sotela Muñoz said that it was "a joint effort by the delegations that actively participated in providing content to the sessions and collaborating so that CIDI helps to strengthen the integral development of the states."

At a post-ceremony meeting, CIDI confirmed Kim Osborne, a citizen of Dominica, as the Executive Secretary for Integral Development of the OAS.
