The Organization of American States (OAS) will hold three workshops focused on combating cyber-crime for prosecutors and other authorities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The sessions will cover topics from advanced computer and cell phone forensic technology to conducting online undercover investigations.

The first workshop was held in August 17-19 in Santiago de Chile, while the second workshop will be held in the same city from August 23 to 25. In both workshops, the training is conducted by a team made up of experts from the OAS, the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States.

The third workshop, which will include the participation of some 40 prosecutors from the Caribbean region, will be focused on judicial cooperation in cybercrime, and will take place on August 24-26 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.
