The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met today with the Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, Isabel Saint Malo, in his office at the institution’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

Both officials discussed the preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Americas that will take place in April 2015 in Panama. In this regard, Vice President Saint Malo shared with the OAS leader issues that her government will propose as key themes for the next hemispheric meeting.

Subsequently, Secretary General Insulza and Vice President Saint Malo joined the meeting of the Joint Summit Working Group (JSWG), which coordinates the support that twelve inter-American and international institutions provide to the Summit process in preparation of the 2015 meeting.
