OAS Secretary General Received the First Vice President of Peru

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today received the first Vice President of Peru, Marisol Espinoza, in a protocolary visit at the headquarters of the hemispheric institution in Washington, DC.

Secretary General Insulza and Vice President Espinoza talked about the programs carried out by the Organization in the field of human development and education.
In addition to visiting the Secretary General, the Peruvian Vice President came to Washington to participate in the OAS meeting of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council of Virtual Educa, which is managed by the hemispheric Organization, and the Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development of the OAS (CIDI), which takes place today.

Also present at the meeting were the Permanent Representative of Peru, Juan Federico Jiménez; the Chief of Staff of the Secretary General, Hugo de Zela; and the Executive Secretary for Integral Development of the Organization, Sherry Tross.
