OAS Secretary General attends 22nd Ibero-American Summit in Cadiz

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, attended as a special guest the 22nd Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Cadiz, Spain, on November 16-17, 2012.

Within the framework of the meeting of leaders of Latin America with the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, the leader of the OAS held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Spanish government, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, to discuss issues of the hemispheric agenda and the country's cooperation with the organization. Insulza also met with Pierre Vimont, Executive Secretary General of the European Union's External Action Service.
