Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS to Provide Technical Training to Guatemala to Strengthen its Electoral Processes

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) of Guatemala today signed an agreement with the objective of strengthening the electoral processes in the Central American country, during a ceremony at the headquarters of the hemispheric institution in Washington, DC.
OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro highlighted the role of the Electoral Observation Missions and the importance of technical cooperation to contribute to the implementation of their recommendations. "We are confident that the 2023 electoral process can show progress in this direction based on what was recommended during the 2019 electoral process," added Secretary General Almagro.
For his part, the President of the TSE, Magistrate Ranulfo Rojas, thanked Secretary General Almagro and his team for the signing of the agreement. The head of the TSE stressed that the collaboration agreement is made with a view to the elections of 2023, in which instance "we have to have all the tools and procedures that can guarantee and give legal certainty to the electoral results at the time".
The Department for Electoral Cooperation and Observation (DECO) of the OAS will be in charge of providing technical cooperation to the TSE.
