Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Mourns the Death of the Chair of the Permanent Council and Ambassador of Paraguay, Elisa Ruiz Díaz

The Organization of American States (OAS) mourns the death today of the Chair of the Permanent Council and Permanent Representative of Paraguay to the Organization, Elisa Ruiz Díaz.
Ambassador Ruiz Díaz was the longest-tenured among the permanent representatives in the political body. She represented her country before the Organization since 2013.
Upon assuming the Chair of the Council on April 6, the Paraguayan diplomat highlighted the role of the OAS in defending democratic institutions. "For Paraguay, the OAS is a valuable tool to ensure democracy and the rule of law," she said.
