Portal accounts are automatically locked for three reasons:
1.
Multiple failed attempts to log in to the Portal. If the Portal password
is incorrectly entered more than 3 times, the account will be temporarily
locked. To unlock it, user must wait 25 minutes – during this time the user will
not be able to access the Portal. Twenty-five minutes after the last failed
Portal log-on attempt, try logging on again using the correct credentials (email
and current password). If user has forgotten the password or wishes to change
the password, a new one can be requested, at any time, using the ‘Forgot Your Password’
link.
2.
Password expired. Portal account passwords expire 6 months after being
created. After 6 months have passed since the last time user changed (or
created) his/her Portal password, the account will be locked for security
reasons. To unlock it, user must create a new password using the ‘Forgot Your Password’
link.
3.
Account inactivity. If a Portal account has not logged on for a
continuous period of more than 6 months, the account will be locked. To
unlock it, the user must create a new password using the ‘Forgot Your Password’
link.
Note: Portal accounts are permanently locked
–disabled– automatically and definitively for security reasons, after 5 years of
account inactivity. If an account has been permanently locked, the user should
write to [email protected].
