on the Future of International Security in the Hemisphere
With the goal of
promoting an exchange of points of view among academics from various
countries of the region that may serve as a basis for the development of
the hemispheric agenda on the topics of security and with the intention of
allowing a dialogue between those academics and the representatives of
member states, including government experts, the Permanent Mission of
Chile to the OAS, with the support of the Permanent Mission of the United
States of America and the General Secretariat, organized this forum at the
OAS headquarters on April 19 and 20 of 1999. following are the
