Research on teacher motivation, particularly in non‐industrialized country contexts, is scarce, but increasingly becoming important as nations address international educational goals (such as the Millennium Development Goals and now, post‐2015, the Sustainable Development Goals) and as nations simply try to ensure an adequate supply of well‐trained, qualified teachers. This webinar will explore some of these initiatives, point to research on teacher motivation, and highlight two examples from the Americas (Peru and Colombia)
