The 21st Annual Food Festival of the Americas takes place on the grounds of the Organization of American States (OAS) located on 17th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., on May 19th 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Food Festival is a fun filled, family event, so bring along your family and friends and those who wish to experience the culture and gastronomy of Latin America, the Caribbean and OAS Observer States. This event transports the public to a corner of each participating country through the tasting of typical meals and the display of crafts, music, dances and customs. Guests also have the chance to participate in the grand raffle held during the Festival, with an opportunity to win fabulous prizes such as airline tickets, electronics, gift baskets and restaurant certificates.
This event is made possible through the participation of many collaborators and sponsors, such as the Permanent and Observer Missions, the Organization of American States, many individuals and companies. The key to the success of the Food Festival throughout the years has been the generosity of those collaborators who have worked unconditionally, contributing their time, creativity and monetary and other donations. With the help of over 120 volunteers from the diplomatic missions, schools, congregations and universities, the Organization of Women of the Americas (OWA) has been able to stage a successful event.
It is anticipated that the proceeds from this year's event will assist deserving institutions in the region. Its success depends on your valuable support!!!
