Mitigation Planning Exercise

The Problem

You have been exposed to techniques for hazard mapping and vulnerability assessment, and you have heard the use of hazard maps and vulnerability assessments in development planning. The problem is how to use this information so that it can aid in the mitigation of disaster, and as a result bring about development that is sustainable.

The Exercise

The following exercise is meant to help in the development of strategies for integrating mitigative measures in all aspects of development.
