The mission of the SNIC is to be the vehicle which integrates the pertinent information of the cultural sector that is generated by the agents, networks and cultural systems by processing it, consolidating it, interpreting it, analyzing it and spreading it. The SNIC aims to support the decision making processes in cultural policy in all the levels of public administration.

Urban Culture Observatory of the District Institute of Culture and Tourism (Colombia)

The function of this observatory is the promotion of research on urban culture and the setting up of information systems on urban culture. It carries out opinion polls and on perception surveys about policies and actions which have been undertaken by the district administration and the measurement of cultural offer and demand in the events organized by the District Institute of Culture and Tourism.
