BACKGROUND High-Level Meeting on Poverty, Equity, and Social Inclusion The High-Level Meeting on Poverty, Equity, and Social Inclusion will be held within the framework of CIDI, in accordance with resolutions CIDI/RES. 113 (VII-O/02), AG/RES. 1854 (XXXII-O/02), CEPCIDI/RES. 90 (LXXXIX-O/03) and CIDI/RES. 130 (VIII-O/03). The aforementioned General Assembly resolution sets forth the general objectives of the meeting, and suggests “that the program for the meeting include, inter alia, the following points: (a) the role of the OAS in hemispheric social development; and (b) the identification of mechanisms to promote cooperation for the development and exchange of information on effective and efficient programs to combat poverty.” LOGISTICS INFORMATION
